Abstract
The aqueous solution spectra of the trisoxalato- and trismalonato-chromium(111) anions show a number of weak spin-forbidden bands in the visible and near infrared. These bands are shown to arise from vibronic coupling rather than from the presence of a trigonal field. The 4A2 → 2E transition is shown to be characteristic of several chromium-oxalato complexes.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9742057
