Abstract
The reaction of 3-pyridyllithium with diethyl phosphorochloridate at ? 80º gave 36% of pure diethyl 3-pyridylphosphonate, hydrolysis of which afforded 3-pyridylphosphonic acid. Treatment of diethyl 3-pyridylphosphonate with aqueous dimethylamine at 150º for 3h afforded 78% of ethyl 3-pyridylphosphonate, characterized as the crystalline cyclohexylamine salt.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9741355
