Abstract
High purity, adherent, non-dendritic, porous cathodes can be produced at 100-300 MV by electrolysing at > 98% efficiency a silver anode at 30-35ºC for 48 h in a simple vertical cell without diaphragm at a current density of 100-150 A/m2. The electrolyte solution contains water, 150 g/l. 3-hydroxypropionitrile, 140 g/l. sulphuric acid and 0.2M silver sulphate.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9740721
