Abstract
The reaction between uranium hexafluoride and hydrogen is catalysed by hydrogen fluoride, especially in the presence of platinum metal. The catalysed reaction has an observable rate at room temperature. The reaction provides the basis for the preparation of β-uranium pentafluoride on a laboratory scale.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9732711
