Abstract
The treatment of simple and fused oxaziridines with sulphur-containing nucleophiles such as thiourea, potassium thiocyanate, potassium ethylxanthate, potassium selenocyanate, and triphenylphosphine sulphide, results in the formation of the related imines. It is suggested that the deoxygenation is effected by conversion of the oxaziridines into thiaziridines, followed by rapid loss of sulphur.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9732159
