Abstract
Methyl 5-formylnicotinate (5) has been synthesized and condensed with a-cyanomethyltryptophol and with acetone. The products were converted into 3-methoxycarbonyl-2-piperideines and their acid-catalysed transformation into isoquinuclidines attempted.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9700073
