Abstract
Chlorination of technetium dioxide has been shown to give technetium oxide trichloride as the major product. The presence of an unstable second product, thought to be the oxide tetrachloride, was confirmed. Bromination of technetium dioxide gives only technetium oxide tribromide. Thionyl chloride reacts with ammonium pertechnetate to give ammonium dioxotetrachlorotechnetate(V1), which was isolated as its sulphuryl chloride adduct, (NH4),[TcO2Cl4],SO2Cl2.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9681981
