Abstract
Several oxyanionic derivatives of bis(cyclopentadienyl)titanium(111) have been prepared by precipitation from air-free aqueous solutions. Two of these, (cp2Ti)2SO4 and (cp2Ti)2CO3, where cp = π-cyclopentadienyl, are described in detail. Infrared and molecular weight evidence shows that the sulphato and carbonato ligands are bridging, but whereas the magnetic susceptibility variation with temperature indicates that the sulphato derivative is magnetically dilute, the carbonato compound shows spin-spin interaction.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9681181
