Abstract
As a result of an investigation of copper(11) complexes containing both glycylglyoine and imidazole, the following compounds are described for the first time: CuHA(Im)2ClO4,H2O, Cu2A2Im,8H2O, and CuAIm,H2O (H2A = glycylglycine = gg, HA = gg-, A = gg2-, and Im = imidazole). The complex CuA,3H2O has also been isolated and used to determine the formation constant of CuA+Im ↔ CuAIm. This has the value log K = 3.8 ± 0.3. The structures of these compounds have been investigated by physicochemical methods and are discussed.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9680671
