Abstract
The action of heat on the complex from phenylmagnesium bromide and trans-o-cyano-β-bromostyrene gives some 1-phenylisoquinoline and a crystalline, unstable, blue compound, in addition to much polymeric material. Structure (IV), which bears a formal resemblance to half a phthalocyanine molecule, is proposed for the blue compound.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9680483
