Abstract
Himandridine, the major alkaloid of the ester group of Galbulimima alkaloids, was shown to have the hexacyclic structure (III) by systematic characterization of the functional groups and by rational degradation to the (+)-1-lutidyl-4-methylbenz[e]indan (XLI), the racemic modification of which was synthesized. Himandridine and himbosine are the first members of a new alkaloid family.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9670981
