Abstract
Ethyl orthoformate reacts with N-(2-hydroxyethy1)toluene-p-sulphonamide, and NN'-di(toluene-p-sulphonyl)ethylenediamine to form 2-ethoxy-N-(toluene-p-sulphonyl)oxazolidine, and 2-ethoxy-NN'-di(toluene-p-sulphonyl)imidazolidine respectively. Analogous products are formed from the corresponding methane-sulphonyl compounds. Triisobutyl orthoformate reacts with N,N?,N"-tri(toluene-p-sulphonyl)-2-aminomethyl-2-methylpropane-1,3-diamine to form 4-methyl-N,N?,N"-tri(toluene-p-sulphonyl)-2,6,7-triazabicyclo[2,2,2]octane (X).https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9651967
