The magnetic properties of rhenium halides. II. Rhenium trichloride

Abstract

Magnetic susceptibility measurements have been made on anhydrous rhenium trichloride and the dihydrate, ReCl₃,2H₂O. Infrared spectra and X-ray powder diffraction studies are reported for anhydrous rhenium trichloride and the possible existence of a low temperature modification of the trichloride is discussed.
