Solvent effects on the infrared spectra of methanol, t-butanol, and phenol in the region 1350-900 cm^-1

Abstract

The effects of solvents on the absorption bands of methanol, t-butanol, and phenol in the region 1350-900 cm^-1 have been studied. The results support recent assignments of the O-H deformation and C-O stretching modes in these compounds.
