Abstract
The wood of Flindersia ifflaiana F. Muell. contains ifflaionic acid, a new triterpene acid, and ifflaiamine, a new alkaloid. The latter has a modified furoquinoline structure, shown to be (I). Some experiments on the synthesis of 4-hydroxy-2-quinolone and derivatives are described.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9630480
