Copper(II) Complexes of 2-Pyridinaldoxime

Abstract

2-Pyridinaldoxime (HL) forms complexes with copper(II) from which the oxime proton may or may not be lost. In addition to the species Cu(HL)₂²⁺ and CuHL₂⁺, already known, this paper describes the uncharged complexes CuHLCl₂, CuL(OH).H₂O, and CuL₂.½H₂O, together with salts of the polynuclear cation, Cu₃L₃OH²⁺.
