Abstract
No acceleration of the gas-phase decomposition of tertiary butyl chloride at 284-309 °C occurs in the presence of sulphur hexafluoride. This behaviour contrasts with that of a variety of unimolecular decompositions probably occurring via triplet states where an extension of the simple theory of activation has been found necessary.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9620437
