Abstract
The oil from the wood of Pentaspadon officinalis Holmes (family Anacardiaceae) consists largely of 2-hydroxy-6-(heptadeca-cis-8',cis,-11'-dieny)benzoic acid. It is very similar to the oil from P. motleyi Hook. f. and does not contain optically active cyclohexenones of the type found in Campnosperma exudates.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9590234
