Abstract
Evoxine is shown by degradation to be a furoquinoline alkaloid. It is 7-(2',3'-dihydroxy-3'-methy1butoxy)-8-methoxydictamnine. Evoxoidine which is formed from evoxine by the action of acid is probably an artefact. It is 7-(3'-methyl-2'-oxobutoxy)-8-methoxydictamnine.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9540087
