Polarography with Alternating Currents. IV. A.C. Polarography of Uranium, Iron, Nickel, and Manganese

Abstract

The A.C. polarography of uranium, iron, nickel, and manganese in suitable supporting electrolytes 1s discussed. Uranium was estimated in perchloric acid as the uranyl ion (UO₂⁺⁺) ; Iron as the oxalato complex ion in neutral or acid oxalate. Nickel and manganese were estimated as cyano complexes which are reversibly reduced at the dropping mercury electrode.
