W T. Godbey is an assistant professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Tulane University. He is the head of the Laboratory for Gene Therapy and Cellular Engineering, and also a member of the Tulane Cancer Center. Godbey's research interests are centred on gene therapy and the manipulation of cells at the genetic level. He has published several papers on the subjects of cellular processing of non-viral gene delivery agents and the use of gene therapy for treatment of transitional cell carcinoma. His current research interests include the use of gene delivery for cellular and tissue engineering, cell seeding and culture approaches for implantable tissue engineering constructs, and gene therapy for cancer treatment. |
