Cation Structures in Bis(2-Guanidino-benzimidazole)metal(II) Complexes: Crystal and Molecular Structure of the Copper(II) Perchlorate Adduct

Abstract

Following previous studies of [M(gbH)₂](NO₃)₂ (M = Ni(II), Zn(II), gbH = 2-guanidinobenzimidazole) a low temperature single-crystal X-ray study of [Cu(gbH)₂](ClO₄)₂·H₂O enables a comparison of the impact of the different electron configurations of these divalent metals on the overall cation geometries.
