Abstract
The new aliphatic acid (+)-myelochroic acid [2-(15-acetoxypentadecyl)-4-methylidene-5-oxo-2,5-tetrahydrofuran-3-carboxylic acid] (1) has been isolated from the lichen Myelochroa rhytidodes and the structure (1) deduced from a combination of spectroscopic data.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH02149
