Abstract
The C-stannylated troponoids (2){(8) have been prepared and two of these shown to undergo palladium(0)-catalysed cross-coupling with bromobenzene to give the corresponding phenyl-substituted tropone. Compounds (3), (5) and (6){(8) all react with electrophiles to give products of ipso-substitution.https://doi.org/10.1071/C96167
