Abstract

Detailed descriptions of Mycena interrupta (Berk.) Sacc. and Mycena viscido-cruenta (del. and Cheel) del. are provided, along with camera lucida drawings of habit, basidiospores, cystidia and pileal cuticles. The uncertainty concerning the 'interrupted' nature of the gill attachment in M. interrupta is clarified. The supposed similarity of M. viscido-cruenta to M. coccinea is shown to be invalid.
