Eight new species of Homalium (Flacourtiaceae) from Papuasia.

Abstract

Eight species of Homalium are described as new: H. bismarckense, H. caput-avis, H. dentrecasteauxense, H. maneauense, H. reductum, H. streimannii, H. subcordatum and H. velutinum. The previously recognized Papuasian species are enumerated and a key to the genus in Papuasia is provided.
