Abstract
The highly antigenic soluble surface proteins (serotypic antigens) of Paramecium aurelia are becoming subjects of increasing interest for the study of the genic control of protein synthesis. Sonneborn and Le Suer (1948) demonstrated in a genetically homozygous stock the existence of several distinct serotypes only one of which was detectable at a given time.https://doi.org/10.1071/BI9620592
