Abstract
Nitrogen present in the tracheal sap of a range of woody species of the family Rosaceae was completely accounted for by a number of organic compounds, notably aspartic acid, asparagine, and glutamine. A striking similarity was shown to the composition of apple tracheal sap.https://doi.org/10.1071/BI9570288
