Fungal Cellulases III. St Achybotrys Atra: Growth and Enzyme Production on Non-Cellulosic Substrates

Abstract

The growth of the mould Stachybotrys atra OCl modified vVaksman-Carey medium has been studied. Iron, zinc, copper, and manganese have been shown to be inorganic micronutrients for the 'mould but their essential nature has not been conclusively demonstrated. Certain other supplements appear to stimulate growth.
