Observations on the Behaviour of Protein in Paper Partition Chromatography

Abstract

A study has been made of the behaviour in partition chromatography onfilter paper, by the method of Cons den, Gordon, and Martin (1944), of severalproteins commonly occurring in biological fluids. It is shown that the proteinin such fluids may appear as a ninhydrin-reacting spot in a characteristic positionon the chromatogram, and present a problem in identification.
