Mental Health Reform: where are we in 2024?
Abstract
This paper provides some historical context for Australian mental health reform, including some reflection on contemporary efforts. We aim to describe progress, though we note the lack of durable measures of accountability. The paper also describes some contemporary opportunities to renew national efforts in mental health reform, aiming to improve the experience of care for people with a mental illness and for people working in services.
