Abstract
The family Archeocrypticidae is redescribed on the basis of adult and larval characters, the relationships of the family are discussed, and the Australian fauna is reviewed. Keys are provided for the Australian genera and the species of Enneboeus Waterhouse and Australenneboeus Kaszab occurring in Australia. The following new taxa are described: Nothenneboeus, gen. nov., N. punctatus, sp. nov., N. carinatus, sp. nov., Australenneboeus apicalis, sp. nov., and A. minor, sp. nov. The following synonymies are proposed: Enneboeus Waterhouse = Parenneboeus Kaszab; Enneboeopsis Champion = Neboksianus Kaszab; Australenneboeus Kaszab =Lamellenneboeus Kaszab. This results in the following new combinations: Enneboeus tarsalis (Kaszab), Enneboeopsis australicus (Kaszab) and Australenneboeus analis (Kaszab).https://doi.org/10.1071/IT9940449
