Awards and Prizes

Annual Student Prize

To recognise and celebrate the important contribution made by students worldwide to fundamental and applied aspects of soil science, the Editorial Board of Soil Research is pleased to offer an annual award for the best student-authored paper published in the journal in each calendar year.

The prize is a one-year personal online subscription to Soil Research, a AU$250 book voucher from CSIRO Publishing and a certificate.

To be eligible for the prize, the student must be the lead author of the paper, and the paper must be submitted for publication while the student is enrolled for PhD programme, or within two years of completing the degree. Nominations are welcome, and students may indicate their eligibility when submitting their paper. Entries will be judged by a panel comprising two co-Editors-in-Chief and at least two other Associate Editors.
