Abstract

The larvae of Thrips australis (Bagnall), Thrips imaginis Bagnall, Thrips simplex (Morison), Thrips tabaci Lindeman, and Frankliniella schultzei (Trybom) are described and figured, and an identification key is presented. Flowers were surveyed for these species and for Megalurofhrips kellyanus (Bagnall). Comments are given on distribution, pest status, host-specificity, and origins.
