Chemistry of the Group 1B Elements. XII. Some Poly(pyrazolyl)borate Complexes of Silver

Abstract

Reactions between silver(1) salts and poly(pyrazolyl)borate anions in the presence of donor ligands have given 21 complexes of general formula AgL(R_nBH_4-n) [L = PPh3, P(c₆H₄Me)₃, P(OMe)₃, P(OPh)₃, AsPh₃, SbPh₃, o - C₆H₄( AsMe₂)₂ or Bu^tNC; R_nBH₄-_n = HB(pz)₃, HB(Me₂pz)₃ orB(pz)₄], and [Ag(HBR₃)]₂(dppe) (R = PZ or Me₂pz) and {[Ag(HBR₃)](dppm)}_n (R = PZ, n = 1 ; R = Me₂pz, n = 2). Their possible structures are discussed in the light of various spectroscopicdata obtained for them.
