Abstract
The reduction of zinc(11) in lithium halide solutions has been studied using a.c. and d.c. polarography over an electrolyte concentration range of 1-20m for lithium chloride and lithium bromide solutions, and 1-12m for lithium iodide solutions. The degree of reversibility for the reduction increased with increase in electrolyte concentration in the order LiI > LiBr > LiCl. Faradaic impedance techniques were utilized to evaluate the rates of the electron-transfer processes.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9720001
